OBAN – THE GATEWAY TO THE ISLES

Oban is aptly named. Meaning “little bay” in Gaelic, Oban is the gateway to the isles and the principal and most central west highland town. There are two main roads into Oban, from the north the A85 and from the south the A816. However you get there, by boat, train, car or bike, it will be a spectacular journey, as the scenery surrounding Oban is some of the most breath-taking Scotland has to offer.
